I started my placement as a PCA here at Meracare. The staff have been very supportive and warm hearted during my time of training. They have given me a lot of ideas that I can apply in the workplace and they have treated me as apart of their team.

The staff were friendly and approachable. They provided me with proper support and were understanding and helpful. I am a better carer for having started my journey with Meracare.

I must say this nursing home has a very homely feel. The staff are very helpful and caring; if you require extra looking after they are always able to help. The meals are good and the place is clean and tidy. I cannot speak highly enough of the nursing home.

To Ryan, Jaya, Shiney, Tash, Jett, Angela, Jack and all the Fabulous  staff members at Meracare,

On behalf of my sister Sue and myself and partners plus Norma’s Grandchildren /great grandchildren we would like to express our sincere thanks for what you have all done for mum.

You should all be very proud of yourselves for how you treat the residents in your care. It is not an easy job but you do it with such grace and you show them all such dignity and compassion whether it be the nursing staff, care staff, the social activities staff or laundry, cleaning and kitchen staff and office staff.

It did not go unnoticed and for that we are very thankful to know mum was well looked after, even though she was very determined to be independent at times but that to me was a good part of her.

Thank you for allowing us to be able to spend our last days with mum by her side and watch her get her angel wings with such dignity, we will be forever grateful and keep that in our hearts as time goes on.

George, you should be very proud of the staff you have at Carrum Downs, you won’t get better, so look after them.
